Bao Zhong Tang TCM Centre was set up as a private joint venture of SingHealth and the Shanghai Hospital Development Centre (SHDC) in November 2007 with visiting Master Physician from Shanghai, Senior TCM consultants are physicians from Shanghai and local physicians with integrated western and Chinese medicine background.

First started its operation in Singapore General Hospital, the Singapore’s largest acute tertiary hospital and national referral centre, Bao Zhong Tang TCM Centre is built on the strong foundation to intensify its activities in joint research to discover new breakthroughs in the practice of Synergy Medicine – the integration of western and Chinese medicine to offer patients the best from the east and the west, and actively seeking collaborations with established institutions to seek and publish new scientific and clinical evidence on TCM procedures and therapies, as well as organising forums and symposiums to engage with partners and gain new insights in Synergy Medicine.

As part of service upgrade, Bao Zhong Tang TCM Centre has shifted out of SGH since late July 2013. Bao Zhong Tang TCM Centre is now situated at Novena Specialist Center which is right in the center of Health City Novena, an integrated hub jointly developed by the Ministry of Health, the National Healthcare Group and Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

Sun Huili

ABOUT

Physician Sun Huili graduated from Shanghai University of TCM in year 1995. She started her clinical practice in Shanghai Longhua Hospital in paediatric and gynaecology department since 1995 before going under the mentorship of the famous TCM oncologist in China, Prof Liu Jiaxiang in year 2000.

During her 21 years of TCM Oncology practice in Shanghai, she utilizes TCM and integrated Chinese and Western medicine in the management of various cancers. Possess extensive clinical experience in the usage of TCM to improve quality of life and prolong survival rate of advanced stage cancer patients, as well as reduce the side effects of chemo- and radiotherapy. She is also experienced in the management of gastrointestinal-related, gynaecology and pediatric disorders.

ABOUT

Ms. Chen Jia Yi is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Physician at Bao Zhong Tang TCM Centre with around 26 years in this field. Formerly she was practicing at Shanghai Longhua Hospital. She completed B.M.S from Shanghai University College of TCM in year 1990.

She is a member of Registered TCM Physician and Acupuncturist, Singapore TCM Practitioners Board since 2001 and she is also a lecturer in multiple TCM institutions in Singapore including TCM College Singapore.

With her extensive clinical and teaching experiences, her special interest is in the area of dermatology/skin conditions, paediatrics, gynaecology and internal medicine. Some of the services provided by Physician Chen Jiayi are: TCM Consultation, Acupuncture and Cupping, Customized Gaofang (paste medicine) etc.

Prof Yan Shi Yun

严世芸教授

ABOUT

Prof Yan received his accreditation as Shanghai Master Physician by the Ministry of Health, China in year 1995. He is also Emeritus Professor in Chinese Medicine for University of Hong Kong and Emeritus Adjunct Professor of Faculty of Medicine for The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He was also awarded the Honorary Doctorate by London Metropolitan University UK and Huachiew Chalermprakiet University of Thailand.

He is former Dean of SUTCM and former director of Shanghai Research Institute of TCM. He also serves as Vice Chairman of Division of Internal Medicine for China Association of Chinese Medicine and Chairman for Shanghai TCM Association.

Prof Yan has also extensive experience in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases and other complex medical disorders.

Prof Fan Zhong Ze

范忠泽教授

ABOUT

Prof Fan graduated from Shanghai University of TCM as Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.) in 1976 and Master of Medicine (M.M.) in 1981. He has extensive experience in the management of all kinds of cancer including late stage cancer using integrated Chinese and Western medicine.

In China, Prof Fan has participated in many key R&D projects of Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Health and has been granted Science and Technology Awards by the Ministry of Health and the municipal government. He has published more than ten papers in professional publications and journals in China and is well-respected by his peers. At the 8th Conference on Acupuncture cum 3rd Workshop on Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine held in 1995 in USA, Prof Fan won a gold award and two gold publication awards.

Prof Sun Zhuo Jun

ABOUT

Prof. Sun graduated from Shanghai College of TCM in 1970. She was former Head of Department, Chief Physician and Advisor of Gynaecology Masters Programme at Shuguang Hospital, which is affiliated to Shanghai University of TCM. Backed by thirty years of clinical practice in gynaecology, Prof. Sun has extensive experience in all women’s diseases especially menstrual disorder, infertility, menopausal syndrome and dysfunctional uterine bleeding.
